when can i come to yoga class?

For pregnancy yoga come from 14 weeks when hopefully sickness has subsided and you are entering the 2nd trimester you are welcome to carry on coming to class right up until the end of your pregnancy.

For post natal classes come from 6 weeks if you had a normal delivery and from your 6-8 week GP app if you had C section. you might not feeI like coming then so I would come when you feel ready.


What should I wear to a yoga class?

It's best to wear comfortable, stretchy clothing that allows for a full range of motion. Avoid wearing loose clothing that may fall over your face or get in the way during poses. Bring socks for the relaxation at the end.

Do I need to bring my own yoga mat?

Everything you need will be provided for yoga class, there will be mats and props to assist poses, I would bring anything you need to be cosy for relaxation at the end, a cosy blanket and maybe a hoody.

How early should I arrive to class?

It's best to arrive 10-15 minutes early to allow time to check in, set up your mat, and get settled before the class begins, If it is a mum and baby class don’t worry if you are running late.

Can I eat before class?

It's recommended to avoid eating a large meal at least 2 hours before class, as practicing yoga on a full stomach can be uncomfortable. However, a light snack or fruit is okay if you need a little energy.

Do I need to be flexible to do yoga?

No, not at all. Yoga is for everyone, regardless of flexibility or fitness level. Remember, it's not about perfection but turning up and joining in everybody is different with different body shapes and life experience.

What if I can't do a pose?

Listen to your body and don't force yourself into a pose that doesn't feel comfortable. I will offer modifications or props to help you find a variation that works for your body. sometimes a pose works and some times it doesn’t from one week to the next.

What if I have an injury or health condition?

Always inform me of any injuries or health conditions you may have, especially if they have arisen since the informed consent form was filled out. If you don’t feel comfortable discussing in front of class call me and we can discuss over the phone I can always offer modifications or alternative poses to ensure your safety. The only time you shouldn’t practise is if the GP has advised against it.

Should I turn off my phone during class?

Yes, it's best to turn off your phone or put it on silent to avoid distractions. If you have school kids or potentially there maybe an emergency phone call just keep on silent nearby.

What if I need to leave early?

If you need to leave early, let me know before class begins, Try to avoid leaving early if you can during the final relaxation pose, Savasana, as it's an important part of the practice and come on its the best bit. If its a mum and baby class don’t worry if baby cries you don’t need to leave.
